Speaker-Event #6: Young Women in Politics and the German Airforce

mit Kerry Hoppe

Kerry Hoppe is a law student at the LMU in Munich, is a state board member of the Young Liberals Bavaria, and a Scholar of the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation. She is also a Reserveoffizieranwärterin at the German Airforce.

On the 8th of April, she inspired us by sharing her journey as a young woman in politics and the German airforce.

Don't wait to be asked, but ask for it yourself, get out of your comfort zone, and mistakes are the best way to grow, she reminded us.

In the airforce, she learned to surpass herself and gained a new feminine confidence that enhanced her personality. To her, law is equal to a mathematical formula that she wanted to understand thoroughly.

Speaker-Event #5: Motivation, Mentorship, Career Goals, Time Management

mit Julia Rhode

As a serial entrepreneur, speaker, digital transformation & healthcare partner, and expert in commercialisation, Julia Rhode gave us an excellent motivational speech on work-life balance and insights into her areas of work.

Key Takeaways:

- Never give up on something you really want.

- Mindset eats structure for breakfast. Passion and enthusiasm are indispensable for good work and driving good ideas forward. When working on a new idea, looking for motivated and diverse team members is more important than the idea itself.

- be a digital expert: become native with digital programmes

- as a founder you should fail often and fail fast to go far and learn

- don't forget to take breaks and work on your work-life balance

- time meetings at odd times like 10:26

Speaker-Event #4: Von der Kollegin zur Chefin - mit Prof. Dr. Krinner (TUD)

mit Prof. Dr. Krinner (TUD)

“Just raise your hands or unmute yourselves!”. In a cozy atmosphere, 18 Queen Bees came together to learn all about United Nations internships and a Bachelor’s in International Relations. Would you recommend an international relations degree? How did you apply and prepare yourself for the internship in advance? Where do you see yourself in 10 years and what have you learned from your experience?
Laura gave us an insight into political participation as a young delegate, telling stories about her application process and describing her life in New York. For example, we learned that interns at the United Nations are issued diplomatic visas, or how she found her accommodation. In fact, Laura applied to multiple internships and least expected this one to turn positive. Her authenticity created a warm, relaxed evening, where everyone was allowed to ask genuine questions.

Speaker-Event #1: Mar Navajas Garcia, founder terrorists of beauty

Founder "terrorists of beauty"
